Dobbs Ferry Man Arrested for Stealing iPhone

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - Dobbs Ferry resident Michael Phair was arrested for petit larceny last week. On July 25, shortly before 3:30 p.m. Phair was arrested for stealing an iPhone 4 from the reception desk at the Half Moon restaurant according to police. Police said the cell phone was valued at $500 and Phair was charged with the misdemeanor.

A 52 year old Brewster woman filed a criminal complaint at the Children's Village after a confrontation with one of the students. Police said on July 29 she told a student to finish his homework instead of watching television and the student became irate and threw a desk at the victim. Police said the student was restrained, broke free and threw a chair at the woman and threatened to kill her. Police are still investigating the case.

Police said a 34 year old Dobbs Ferry woman was the victim of identity theft and reported it on July 26 just after 12:30 p.m. The woman told police that $1,387 was fraudulently removed from her TD Bank account through three charges online.

Just before 8 a.m. on July 25 an employee at the Children's Village found one of the school's 2011 Ford vans on Snakehill Rd. Police said the vehicle was stolen without any staff member's knowledge. The van was left unoccupied at the back entrance to the school with a flat tire and some body damage.
