Dobbs Ferry Police Arrest Man for Second Time

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - An 18-year-old man was arrested last week on a warrant after he turned himself into police at the 50th precinct in the Bronx.

The man was arrested in June after police said he was part of a gas station robbery on Ashford Avenue. Police said he failed to appear in court for the arrest, which led to the warrant that was signed on Aug. 4. He turned himself in on Aug. 9.

Also on the blotter:

On Aug. 8 a Dobbs Ferry woman reported that someone broke a taillight on her Subaru Legacy, which was parked on Belden Avenue. The woman told police that she saw kids near her car the night before, but did not notice any damage until the next morning.

Police said a Dobbs Ferry resident was the victim of identity theft recently. The 20-year-old female reported on Aug. 9 that someone used her debit card to make online purchases totaling $947.10.

On Aug. 7 a 25-year-old male employee at Children's Village reported a case of harassment on the campus. The employee told police that a 16-year-old female resident of the school was asked to leave a particular area of the campus. The employee said the girl refused, tried to push her way past him, bit him on the right arm, spit in his face and then punched him in the head. The employee did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
