Dobbs Ferry Police Make Several Arrests Recently

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Edward Lang, a 30-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident, was arrested last week after a domestic incident with a 23-year-old female.

Police said the incident occurred on Aug. 11 between 8 and 9 a.m. but was not reported until Aug. 21. Lang was arrested on Aug. 22.

Police said Lang grabbed the victim and pushed her into a wall. He had also violated an order of protection she had against him. Police said Lang was arrested for first-degree criminal contempt and for violating that order.

Carl Lodes, a 51-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident, was arrested for assault on Aug. 22 at approximately 10 a.m. Police said Lodes got into an argument with a 46-year-old woman and that he punched her in the face, causing a half-inch laceration. Police said Lodes was charged with third-degree assault.

On Aug. 23 Thomas Delapp, a 41-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident, was arrested for assault after a domestic incident. Police said Delapp assaulted his 43-year-old girlfriend and her 16-year-old daughter after a verbal dispute became physical. Police said Delapp threw both women down a flight of stairs twice. Police said the mother appeared to have a broken left wrist and arm while the daughter suffered an abrasion to her left shin. Delapp was charged with two counts of third-degree assault.

An 18-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident reported to police that he was assaulted by a group of men on Aug. 22. The victim told police he was walking with another man and a woman and saw five to six men wearing basketball attire come out of the cart path of the Ardsley Country Club. According to police, the victim said the group of men began to follow him and call to him. Police said the victim confronted the group and was assaulted and beaten on the head with a glass bottle. Police said the victim took out a pocket knife to scare off the group of attackers. No arrests have been made yet, but police said there are a few suspects.
