DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Dobbs Ferry police are asking residents to stay inside Tuesday as crews work to clear the village of downed trees and wires after Hurricane Sandy.

"Please do not let your children play outside," police said in a notice. "There are live power lines down throughout the village and Con Edison is still working to de-energize these lines."
