Dobbs Ferry Road Work Nears Completion

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – As delays continue and streets remain chewed up in Dobbs Ferry residents will soon see the fruits of the village labors.

“Everything should be done by next Tuesday and Ashford Ave. should be done by [this] Friday,” said village administrator Marcus Serrano.

According to a village message sent to residents, resurfacing of roads will take place on South Washington and Ashford Ave. starting at Southfield Ave. on Friday, Nov. 18.  Alternate side of the street parking will be suspended on Bradley St. as well.  On Monday, Nov. 21 resurfacing will continue on Ashford Ave. and also on Eldridge Place and Livingston Ave. at Broadway.  On Tuesday, Nov. 22 resurfacing will take place on Fairlawn.

The entire project will come at a cost of about $500,000 to the village, but Serrano said the repaving of Ashford Ave. is being funded by reimbursement money from the county.
