Dobbs Ferry Seeks Intern For 'Climate Smart' Project

DOBBS FERRY. N.Y. - The Village of Dobbs Ferry is seeking an intern, college age or above, to assist with an innovative sustainability project.

Dobbs Ferry has been selected as one of four New York municipalities to participate in New York State's pilot Climate Smart Communities Certification Program. The project involves providing documentation on sustainability-focused actions undertaken by the village and providing feedback to the consultants and New York State on the draft certification guidelines.

It is anticipated the work would take up to one day per week including bi-weekly Wednesday conference calls with the other municipalities piloting the certification guidelines, program consultants, etc.

The intern would report to Nina Orville, chair of the Dobbs Ferry Energy Task Force and Liz Dreaper, deputy village administrator/village clerk and chair of Dobbs Ferry's municipal Green Team. The position is unpaid but provides the opportunity to be involved in a cutting edge sustainability program being developed by New York state.

Those interested in the position, should send a resume and a brief letter indicating your interest. Contact Nina Orville with questions at ninaorville@gmail.com.
