Philadelphia-based Ricardo Cruciani, 63, has been charged with groping patients at his clinic and taking advantage of vulnerable women in his care for more than a dozen years, including one woman from Dutchess County.
According to his accusers, Cruciani forced them to touch and kiss them inappropriately. He allegedly also masturbated in front of a female patient. The accuser from Dutchess County reportedly said that he took advantage of her rare medical condition and feasted on her vulnerability, as she believed that Cruciani was her only chance to survive.
Cruciani pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of sexual misconduct, according to a CBS report, admitting that he sexually assaulted seven patients last year while he was the chairman of Drexel University’s neurology department. He will now register as a sex offender and must forfeit his medical license. Cruciani faced up to seven years in jail before striking the plea deal.
