Ex-UN Official, Dobbs Ferry Resident John Ashe Released On Bail

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Former U.N. official and Dobbs Ferry resident John Ashe was released on $1 million bail Monday, reports WCBS News.

Ashe, 61, who faces tax charges connected to a bribery scheme, may face additional charges, according to the report.

The complaint brought against Ashe earlier this month accuses the former president of the United National General Assembly and ambassador from Antigua and Barbuda of taking bribes from Chinese real estate mogul Ng Lap Seng.
