A local Getty gas station in Dobbs Ferry was the victim of a robbery over the weekend. An attendant at the gas station on Ashford Avenue went to the bathroom and was subsequently surrounded by four black teenage males. The four males took $530 from the station attendant and fled east on Walgrove Avenue on foot.
The Dobbs Ferry Police Department checked the area and corresponded with police stations in Hastings, Ardsley and Greenburgh in a search effort. Dobbs Ferry police eventually tracked down the four teenagers on a local campus. Two were found on the Children's Village campus and one was found inside a parked van on the campus as well. The fourth male was found on the corner of Main Street and Oak Street. All four are resident students at Children's Village. The completion time of the whole incident as recorded by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department was just after 5:30 p.m. All were arraigned that night and taken to county corrections. Each male was charged with robber yin the second degree, which is a C class felony.
On June 10, shortly after 10:30 a.m. a criminal complaint was filed at 390 Broadway Street in Dobbs Ferry. The call was about a male who had attempted to steal a 30-case of Budweiser beer from Stop & Shop. The man ran from the scene, but police didn't have to go far as they found him on a bicycle on nearby Cedar Street. He was arrested for petty larceny and released on bail. He is due back in court this week.
