Vendors, food and games filled the streets of Hastings Friday as Friday Night Live kicked off the summer season.
Warburton Ave was blocked off for the event, which started at 5:30 p.m. Friday Night Live takes place each Friday throughout the summer.
This summers inaugural event summer featured grilling on the sidewalk, snow cones, dunk tanks, games and a pool table in the middle of the street. Local businesses were present to give a taste of their offerings.
People enjoyed live music as children rode their bike. Others blew bubbles while some chatted with friends.
Later this month, Hastings residents can expect fire dancers, dancing puppets, various bands and a carnival for children. There is no admission fee for the event, which began last year to attract people to the village.
Friday Night Live is presented in a partnership with the Hastings Chamber of Commerce. More information on the upcoming events can be found at www.rivertownsguide.com.
