HASTINGS, N.Y. -- It only comes a few times each year, but this weekend Friday Night Live is back in Hastings to help keep you busy during the dog days of summer.
Friday Night Live returns to Hastings this week and locals can expect quite the show with numerous activities planned. The theme of this week is "Midsummer Magic" and it runs from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. while Boulanger Plaza and part of Main Street will be closed to traffic. Producers Vinny DePonto and Mike Allan will be there as featured guests as well with Allan playing the role of DJ.
Starting promptly at 6 p.m. the festivities will get started with some magic as magicians Matt Cooper and Patrick Terry will do a little mind reading and "The Great Charlini" will perform tricks while keeping the crowd laughing with a few jokes.
As usual, vendors will be in the streets showcasing their various products and specialty foods. There will also be fortune tellers, jugglers and a ventriloquist walking the street on Friday as well. DePonto will be on stage at 7:30 p.m. for the main event to bring the show to a close while Allan DJ's the whole show. You can also meet the entertainers at 8:45 p.m. as well.
