Friday Night Live Returns and More This Weekend

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- If you're looking to unwind this weekend there are plenty of events happening in the villages. Farmer's markets are back and so is the popular Friday Night Live in Hastings. Take a look below and see if any of the local events coming up pique your interest.

On Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Dobbs Ferry Farmer's Market is back on Cedar St. and will have its usual collection of fresh produce, meats, baked goods and wine.

Friday Night Live returns to Hastings on Friday night with the Yellow Jacket Jam presented by the Hastings High School Alumni Association. Acclaimed professional musicians, including Hastings alumni, will be returning to the village to participate in a tribute to former music department supervisor Peter DeLuke.

Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the Hastings Farmer's Market will be in the Municipal Building parking lot with some of the freshest produce in Westchester.

Saturday at 10 a.m. there will be a walk on the Old Croton Aqueduct from Dobbs Ferry to Tarrytown. It will be a 5.4 mile roundtrip walk led by the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. All interested in attending should meet in the northeast corner of the Mercy College parking lot.

The Westchester County Volunteer Fire Fighters parade is Saturday at 2 p.m. and will run from the Concord Elementary School down Heatherdell Rd to Route 9A, up Ashford Ave and down to Ashford Park. The parade is expected to last two hours.

"The Sounds of Peace" will be celebrating a decade of working for peace. There is a suggested donation of $15 for the event, which includes food and drink.
