Greenburgh Community Center Opens As 'Warming Shelter'

The Blizzard of 2017 has prompted a rare shutdown of The Westchester Mall in the heart of White Plains on Tuesday. The mall on Bloomingdale Road will reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, a spokeswoman said.

The Westchester Mall in White Plains was closed on Tuesday due to the major snowstorm. A community center in Greenburgh remained open, meanwhile, as a "warming shelter."
