Guitar Amp Stolen From Dobbs Ferry Music Store

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – A guitar amplifier was stolen from the doorway of the Stolen Moments music store on Cedar St. on Oct. 7.  Police said a 27-year-old employee reported the theft of the amplifier, which is valued at $2,072.  Police said the amplifier was in the doorway of the store and someone walked out of the store with it around 3:30 p.m.  Police are still investigating the matter.

Also in the police blotter:

A 56-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident discovered he was the victim of identity theft recently after someone made various online purchases using the victim's Chase bank account.  Police said the purchases occurred between Sept. 18 and Oct. 6 for a total of $2,100.  Police are still investigating the incident. 

A Dobbs Ferry juvenile was arrested on Oct. 9 for criminal mischief after an argument with his mother.  The juvenile damaged a wooden railing from the wall and the floor of the home and his mother called the police shortly after 7:30 p.m.  The juvenile was charged and released and issued a family court appearance ticket.
