HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. As Halloween gets closer and closer, Hastings will be gearing up for the holiday with several events in the village. One of these events is a downtown window painting competition on Sunday. Contestants will be judged after painting a Halloween themed image on local store front windows that will be assigned to them.
The event runs Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is $5 for a single entry, $7 for a team entry and $10 for a family entry. The recreation department will provide paint, but contestants must bring all the other supplies including brushes, sponges, containers for mixing, clean up items etc.
