Hastings Village Board Holds 2013-2014 Budget Hearing

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Hastings-on-Hudson Village Board will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Village Hall for a public hearing on the proposed 2013-14 budget.

The proposed budget submitted by the Village Manager to the Village Board for consideration includes the General Fund Budget of the $13,592,969.

The 2013-14 budget would require an estimated tax rate of $244.51. Village assessed values are estimated to reach $41,470,301.

The proposed budget translates into an increase of $226,725, which represents a 1.7 percent increase in expenditures and requires a 2.23 percent increase in property taxes.

Given the average property assessment of $16,907, this increase reflects an annual property tax increase of $90.11.
