Hastings Woman Robbed Sunday on Kent Avenue

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A 29-year-old Hastings woman was the victim of a robbery Sunday morning on Kent Avenue, when an unknown male came up from behind her and demanded her property, police said.

The woman was walking home from the train station just before 2:30 a.m. when she was accosted, police said. The victim told police she was startled by the suspect — who she believed had a gun or a knife in his hand — and fell to the grass.

The victim gave the man her pocketbook, and the suspect ran toward Ravensdale Road. Hastings police searched the area, with assistance from Metro North police and Westchester County police, who provided a canine unit. No suspect was found.

Hastings police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to call the detective division at 914-478-2344.
