GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Emerging New York Knicks fan favorite Jeremy Lin has taken the hardwood by storm recently and may be looking to set up roots in Westchester.
According to a published report, Lin, 23, a Harvard University graduate who has scored 25, 28, 23, 38 and 20 points in five consecutive wins since being called off the bench to play the point, has been shown a home in Greenburgh near the Knicks and Rangers training facility in Eastview.
Lin, who is earning the NBA's league minimum of $613,567 for second-year players, reportedly is currently staying with his brother, a dental student at NYU, in Manhattan.
Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner, who noted a few years ago the town was named the 80th best place to live in the United States by Money magazine, said "we would be thrilled" if Lin invested in Greenburgh.
"We love the Knicks and I am proud of the fact that we are the home of the Knicks/Rangers training center, so we have an association with the Knicks already," he said. "If Jeremy Lin moves to our community we'll make him feel special."
Feiner mentioned that before former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton bought a home in Chappaqua, they seriously considered a home on Ardsley Road in Greenburgh.
