  • A serial bank robber struck a Chase bank in New Rochelle, taking an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect has held up seven banks in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut over the last three months.
  • New Rochelle Firefighters battled a fire that broke out at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Mid-Westchester on Wilmot Road in Scarsdale. No injuries have been reported.
  • Bill Mazer, a veteran of 60 years as a sport announcer in the New York metro area, most recently with WVOX radio in New Rochelle, died at age 92.
