HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY -- A Flash Flood Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Westchester County through Monday evening as rain has continued on and off. Weather forecasts call for thunder showers with an 80 percent chance of rain. While it has been sprinkling on and off, forecasts predict heavy rain fall to start around 3 p.m. Thundershowers are predicted to begin this afternoon and continue throughout the day. With so many highways that often flood, be on the lookout for closed areas on the Bronx River Parkway, the Hutchinson River Parkway and most notably the Saw Mill River Parkway. Drive slowly in the rain and especially after sunset when pools of water are more difficult to spot.
