WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A man was injured on Sunday afternoon following an explosion at a popular Irvington restaurant.
An employee of MP Taverna on Bridge Street was taken to a local hospital on Sunday after sustaining burn injuries when a grill reportedly exploded, causing an evacuation of the restaurant.
The man suffered injuries to his face arms and chest. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. Officials said that there was no exterior damage to the structure. The condition of the employee was not immediately available. No other injuries were reported.
