HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Hastings police say that 3D Industrial Maintenance did not have any permits issued before removing an oil tank that exploded and killed two people last week, News 12 Westchester reported.

The two workers were removing an underground oil tank from a Hillside Avenue residence on Thursday, May 7.

The tank flew 75 feet into the air, but no other people were injured, according to News 12 Westchester.

The investigation is continuing, News 12 Westchester reported.
