Nothing Ruled Out as Police Look for Suspects

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The search continues for the three armed men who posed as police officers to rob a local man after tying up him and his family on Tuesday morning.  In the Hastings police blotter the men are described as three white males, one as an older man with a “wrinkled face, wearing a scarf over his face” and another was described as having a “scruffy beard.”

It is unclear where exactly the suspects fled and whether they may have jumped on the Metro North train or ran in another direction.

“It’s conflicting right now, they’re really sorting it out,” said Hastings Lt. David Dosin.

Dosin said it seemed like an isolated incident, but didn’t want to speculate one way or another.

“We don’t think they’re connected to another crime in Hastings, but you never want to rule anything out,” he said.

Police continue to search the area and conduct their investigation. “Right now all avenues are open, you want to leave everything open and on the table,” Dosin said.
