Oasis Day Spa Brings Sparkle To A Fall Evening

Some 90 patrons enjoyed the "The Best of Westchester" Sunset Social sponsored by Dobbs Ferry's Oasis Day Spa and Westchester Magazine on Oct. 6. The evening included a complimentary 20-minute treatment, delicious foods from local restaurants, wines and live music, all set on the backdrop of the Oasis' rooftop. The event celebrated the Spa being selected as "The Best of Westchester" in Westchester Magazine for the third year in a row.

The entire spa was busy handling the evening's massages, facials, and manicures. Brittney Levine says, "The Pomegranate Brightening Peel by Cosmedix was definitely the hit of the night! It left my skin feeling so rejuvenated and the smells were so delicious—I almost wanted to eat the oils off my face!"

Owner of the Oasis, Bruce Schoenberg says he loves to host events that make the Oasis Day Spa a part of the community. He always tells his staff that their main job is to bring happiness and relaxation to their customers. He also makes sure the Spa works within the community for charity events.

In October, for example, the spa participates in several events supporting the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Those wearing pink to the spas will have 10% of their treatment fee donated to the Society. Oasis also sets up booths at the walks in the survivors' tents. They give walkers free massages. Oasis also supports the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and The American Heart Association—Go Red.Schoenberg says the original Oasis Day Spa in the Union Square area is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. With two New York City locations, the Westchester location opened in 2008. Their next event is Oasis Week, which offers a discount of 15% on treatments so that people can explore more of the spa's services. "Health and wellness, what's more important than that?" he said.
