Imbimbo was charged with a felony because of a previous DWI conviction in 2010. Imbimbo was stopped for alleged erratic driving, and upon further investigation police realized he was under the influence, according to police.

Imbimbo is a physical education teacher in Ossining and former varsity wrestling coach at Mahopac High School.

He was accused of pushing a student against a wall and pinning him with his hand while yelling at him in 2010, according to lohud.com.

An arbitrator suspended him without pay for one month and he was required to take anger management training at the district's expense.

Superintendent Raymond Sanchez sent a letter to parents Friday addressing the incident and said Imbimbo has been administratively reassigned.

"These events did not transpire during the school day, nonetheless, we are deeply concerned about these charges," Sanchez wrote. "As this is both a personnel issue and a pending legal matter, the district will work closely with its legal counsel and law enforcement regarding the disposition of the matter; however, we are unable to comment further regarding these issues."
