PD: Hastings Woman was Victim of ATM Card Fraud

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A 41-year-old Hastings woman reported to police on Nov. 16 that there were two fraudulent purchases on her ATM card.  An unknown person made two purchases at Bike Bandits for a total of $1,710.38.  Police notified the bank of the incident, which is currently under investigation.

In other news:

A Hastings man got into a dispute with a taxi driver over payment after he took a cab from New York City to the Zinsser parking lot on Nov. 11.  Police said the man wanted to pay with his credit card, but the machine was broken and an argument arose.  Police said officers responded, drove the man to the ATM so he could pay the $72 bill and then drove him home.

Hastings police said the bathroom door at Zinsser Field was kicked in damaging the lock. The lock was broken and burnt paper was also found on the floor.  Police said it appears to have happened sometime during the day on Nov. 10.
