Police: Ardsley Woman Missing $8,000 in Jewelry

ARDSLEY, N.Y. – Police said a lot of times people don’t realize something is missing or has been stolen until much later, especially if it’s not something you see every day.

A 35-year-old female resident of Ashford Avenue reported to police on Feb. 15 that approximately $8,000 worth of jewelry had gone missing from her home. Police said the jewelry was last seen in November, but she did not realize it until recently. Police said they have a few names of people who had access to the woman’s home in that time frame and are investigating the situation.

Stolen Wine, No Charges - Police said an Ardsley woman was caught stealing a bottle of wine from a liquor store on Saw Mill River Road on Feb. 16. The store did not want to press charges according to police, but the woman was told to not come back to the store.
