Police Investigate Stolen Property in Ardsley

ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- According to the Ardsley Police Department, a necklace and watch were stolen from a home garage on Abington Avenue in Ardsley. The items were reported missing from a tennis bag that was placed in the alleged victim's garage.

Police say they interviewed residents and house workers to no avail. The items, which are said to be worth approximately $600, were reportedly stolen between 7 p.m. on June 27 and 12 p.m. on June 28. The larceny case is still under investigations. No arrests have been made.

The following items have also been reported by the Ardsley Police Department -- they currently remain under investigation:

• A Yonkers man was arrested for illegal possession of marijuana in Ardsley recently. The man was arrested by the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force after a narcotics investigation. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on June 28.

• A report of suspicious activity by a teenager on Saw Mill River Road was investigated by Ardsley police on June 30. An officer was dispatched to the Starbucks in Ardsley to check out the situation. The teenager was reportedly suffering from psychological issues and his parents were called to the scene.
