DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. Police said an 18-year-old male student of Childrens Village was the victim of assault by a 15-year-old male student after a verbal dispute. Police said the verbal dispute arose and the 15-year-old struck the victim in the face with a wooden chair and then began to punch him in the face. Staff members broke up the dispute, but the victims injuries required four stitches after lacerations to the nose and right eye. The 15-year-old student was charged with assault in the second degree.
A 17-year-old female student at the St. Christophers School was arrested on Oct. 19 after assaulting two staff members shortly before 10 a.m. Police said the female was highly agitated and staff members were attempting to restrain her when both were struck. Police said a 47-year-old male staff member was struck in the face and a 39-year-old female staff member was kicked in the face causing a laceration to the mouth. The student was charged with harassment in the second degree and released back to the school.
A parking meter was stolen from Palisade St. sometime between Oct. 14 and Oct. 17. Police said the pole was left behind and the meter itself is valued at $600.
Police said a 15-year-old male student at the Masters School had his iPhone stolen out of his book bag. Police said the boy left the bag unattended in the mail room on Oct. 17 when the phone, which is valued at $299, was stolen.
