Rivertowns Ribbons Support Mental Illness Awareness

RIVERTOWNS, N.Y. - Silver and blue bows adorn trees and utility poles in Greenburgh, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and Hastings-on-Hudson in support the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) that will cap its campaign with a awarenes walk at Rye Playland on May 18.

NAMI is the largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to providing support, education and advocacy to individuals and families affected by mental illness.

The awareness ribbon campaign is meant to bring the issue of mental illness to the forefront. Local Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts have volunteered to removed the ribbons by May 31.
