Dobbs Ferry schools announced plans f or "unannounced emergency lock-down drills" in all three of its schools in April. The drills would help make the district's emergency management plan, which includes local emergency responders, more effective.

Hastings film editor Paul Frost's work was featured when PBS premiered "The House I Live In" on "Independent Lens" on April 8.

Theresa A. Fahey (nee Miano) of Yonkers died on Saturday, April 6. She was 69. Fahey worked as a secretary for the Graham-Wydham School in Hastings for more than 20 years.
