Road Work Alert Issued For Irvington

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington residents should be ready for road delays when Con Edison begins the first phase of work to upgrade electric service on Sycamore Lane.

The work, scheduled to begin, Thursday, Aug. 31, will affect traffic on Sycamore from Broadway to Parkside Way, including Dogwood Lane, Con Ed officials said.

The current work will not interrupt electric service, officials added.

The work, expected to run through October will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

The roads will be open, but drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route if possible.
