DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. With the long weekend here and Presidents Day on Monday, there will be plenty of time to enjoy a short break. Take a look below at whats happening in the villages this weekend.
The Hastings Yellow Jackets Booster Club will be hosting a seminar on personal conditioning and fitness for student athletes Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Russell Lecture Room at the high school.
Students at Dobbs Ferry Middle School will be holding a celebration to honor Black History Month on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the high school/middle school auditorium. All are invited to this show, which will feature performances by the Heritage Choir and the Stepping Eagles. There will also be a performance by the Bokandeye African-American Dance Theater.
The Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and Hastings school districts will be on break from Monday, Feb. 20 to Friday, Feb. 24.
Ruth Moody will be playing at the Purple Crayon in Hastings on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 in advance and $25 at the door.
The Hastings Historical Society will be one of the few organizations open on Monday and it will be showcasing the current exhibit Hidden Treasures from the Societys Collection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
