See Which Streets Are Still Closed in Dobbs Ferry

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Due to damage from fallen tree branches and downed power lines there are still a few streets closed in Dobbs Ferry. Dobbs Ferry Chief of Police Betsy Gelardi said the following streets were still closed as of Monday afternoon.

Murtle Ave between Lefurgy Ave and Washington Ave.; Bellewood Ave between Transvaal St. and Walgrove Ave; and Walnut St. between Hatch Terrace and Main St.

Gelardi said residents should take extra precautions when walking through the streets due to the conditions.

“Do not touch any wires, assume that all wires are live, do not assume because an area is not closed there is not a hazard,” she said.  “Some unknown hazards may exist, including live wires in the ground, downed trees and hanging tree limbs.”
