A stretch of the northbound New York State Thruway in Chestnut Ridge is closed Sunday following a serious accident.
The 5:30 p.m. accident, reportedly involving five vehicles including an overturned auto with injuries, occurred at the Garden State Parkway connector (Exit 14A).
Nearby, another accident on I-87, this one on the southbound side, is causing delays at Airmont Road (Exit 14B) and the Spring Valley tolls.
Northbound I-95 in Rye saw gridlock conditions throughout Sunday afternoon into the early evening following an earlier chain-reaction accident that involved as many as 15 vehicles.
