DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Dobbs Ferry police made a few arrests this week in a number of different cases in the village.
Jalal Rahahleh, a 39-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident, was arrested for selling cigarettes to a minor on Sept. 27. The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force was in the area observing and issued Rahahleh, a clerk at the Getty gas station, an appearance ticket after selling cigarettes to a 15-year-old male.
The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force arrested Kevin Mack, a 25-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident, after observing Mack sell marijuana on two occasions. The task force arrested him for two counts of criminal sale of marijuana.
A 15-year-old male resident of Children’s Village was arrested for criminal mischief and assault on Sept. 28. Police said around 9:30 a.m. the juvenile was throwing chairs around and jabbed someone in the torso with a mop handle.
Another 15-year-old male resident of Children’s Village was also arrested for criminal mischief on Sept. 28. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. the night before and police said the juvenile threw two rocks through a school van, breaking the window.
A 17-year-old male resident of Children’s Village was arrested for criminal mischief on Sept. 30 just before 7 p.m. Police said the juvenile became angry while speaking with a staff member in Smith Cottage and started turning over furniture including an end table and a kitchen table.
Police said a resident of Monroe, N.Y. reported that his 2003 Saturn vehicle had been keyed in the Oak St. lot on Oct. 1. The man left his car parked between 1 to 3 p.m. and when he returned the driver side door and rear driver side panel had several long scratches and profanity scratched in the car.
