St. Christopher Resident Charged With Assault

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – After a fight broke out on the St. Christopher’s campus, a 20-year-old resident was arrested and charged with assault.

Aisha Marquez was arrested and charged with assault in the third-degree, a class A misdemeanor. Police said she was involved in an altercation with an 18-year-old girl and after punches and slaps were thrown, Marquez ripped a clump of hair out of the victim’s head. Marquez had a cut on her forehead and the victim was treated by the school’s medical staff, police said. The dispute occurred in a common bathroom in the Gould Cottage on April 2 around 6:30 p.m. Marquez was released on her own recognizance, arraigned and an order of protection was issued.

Identity Theft Police said a 42-year-old Dobbs Ferry woman was the victim of identity theft when she realized someone had fraudulently filed her tax return. The woman reported the incident to the IRS and her accountant confirmed with the IRS that the taxes had been filed electronically. She reported it to police on April 2 and she was referred to credit agencies to investigate further.

Stolen Kindle A 36-year-old Ardsley woman reported having her Kindle stolen from the New York Sports Club on April 4 around 10:30 a.m. Police said the woman left it unattended on the gym floor and when she returned it was gone. The Kindle is valued at $150 and the case at $50 according to police.
