Support Columns For New Tappan Zee Bridge Become Visible Above Water

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Tappan Zee Constructors has begun work on the above-water base for the new bridge's support columns, according a report by News 12 Westchester. 

Support columns are the first part of the new bridge to be visible by the public.

The support columns, which are about 40 feet high, are the first structures of the bridge to raise above the water, according to the report.
