Take a Look at Meetings Coming up in Hastings

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – There are several meetings in Hastings this week so if you’re interested in hearing about local issues take a look at what’s coming up below.

The Hastings Board of Trustees will be meeting Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building to discuss a number of local issues.  The board will have a work session discussing the town reassessment with the Greenburgh town assessor before starting the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.  At the regular meeting the board will discuss an adoption of the Greater Greenburgh Planning Area All Hazards Mitigation Plan, the lease extension of property on Washington Avenue, the approval of the purchase of a police vehicle and  Indian Point security measures.  The village manager will give his report and the board will then comment on safe driving initiatives and an update on the waterfront.

The Hastings Safety Council will be meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building.  The board will discuss a request for a crosswalk by the community center, traffic complaints on James St. and a crosswalk at Ravensdale and Rosedale.  

The Hastings Planning Board will be meeting Thursday at 8:15 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The board will discuss a steep slopes approval and then will have a number of public hearings, including a special use permit on behalf of New Cingular Wireless PCS.  There will also be steep slopes approval applications discussed for new business.
