DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. There will be plenty to discuss at the various meetings in Dobbs Ferry this week. Take a look at what boards are meeting and what they'll be talking about.
The Dobbs Ferry Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. in Village Hall. The board will discuss a number of topics at the meeting beginning with a few presentations. The first presentation will be delivered by Mercy College President Dr. Kimberly Cline. Cline will give the board an update on what is new on the school's Dobbs Ferry campus and will discuss the college in the community.
Drew Coburn, the chair of the ad hoc facilities committee, will present to the board an update on local activities in Dobbs Ferry.
Larry Taylor, the chair of the downtown improvement committee, will give an update on a coupon book in the village.
There will also be a number of matters requiring action at Tuesday's meeting. Among these issues is the consideration of rejecting bids for the lease of the Dobbs Ferry train station, ideas concerning the current leaf blower law, consideration of authorizing local block parties and others. The Dobbs Ferry Zoning Board of Appeals will be meeting on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Village Hall. There will be a public hearing on applications by Mercy College appealing the decision to convert and construct dormitory additions, public hearings applications filed by Seaver Dobbs Ferry LLC for several variances. There will also be a public hearing on an application filed by Stop & Shop for two variances to build an addition on its property in Dobbs Ferry. On Thursday, the Dobbs Ferry Technical Advisory Committee will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the Conservation Advisory Board will be meeting at 7:30 p.m.
