Take a Look at the Meetings in Hastings This Week

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- There are several meetings scheduled in the village this week where you can learn more about local issues. Take a look below at what’s scheduled for the next few days.

The Hastings Planning Board will be meeting Thursday at 8:15 p.m. in the Municipal Building to discuss various matters.

In its old business, the board will discuss the application of Anthony Ivezaj for the construction of a one-family dwelling on the lot at 12 Prince St.  The board will have public hearings for the accessory apartment permit renewal for Linda Osborn at 17 Villard Ave., the accessory apartment permit renewal for Janet Harris at 51 Summit Dr., the view preservation application of Brian and Shelly Steinwurtzel and the special use permit and site plan application on behalf of New Cingular Wireless PCS for review and recommendation to the zoning board.  The New Cingular Wireless application is for the construction, addition, modification to existing antennas and other equipment on the roof of the Municipal Building. 

The planning board will also discuss the Steep Slopes application of Alan Sanseverino for the construction of a driveway as part of a new two-story, single family living space on the lot next to 78 High St.  The review of amendments to the Steep Slope laws of the village will continue to be discussed Thursday as well.

The Hastings Conservation Commission will be meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Municipal Building.

The Hastings Board of Education will be meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Russell Lecture Room at Hastings High School.

The Recreation Commission will be meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the James Harmon Community Center in Hastings.
