Construction on the new Tappan Zee Bridge will cause lane closures on the southbound side of the bridge on Friday and Saturday.
One right will be closed on Friday, June 24 starting at 8 p.m. A second right lane will close from 9 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Saturday.
Construction will include the beginning of the final phase of construction for a New York State Thruway Authority maintenance dock near the new bridge's Rockland landing. Work will involve partially dismantling the existing work trestle that was used to construct the northern span of the new bridge.
