The Week Ahead in Hastings

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – There are a couple of municipal events scheduled in the village in the next few days. Take a look below at some of the events and meetings schedule for this week.

The Hastings Board of Trustees will be meeting Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building to discuss a number of resolutions and plans. The board is scheduled to discuss the closeout of capital projects, the return of account and affidavit, a selective enforcement for Traffic Safety Grant, a lawn maintenance contract and a snow and ice agreement extension.

Library funding, pool debt and the electronic email policy are items that will be discussed by the board as well. Buffer zones and the plan for the waterfront project going forward are also highlighted on the agenda .

The Hastings Planning Board will be meeting Thursday, Jan. 19 at 8:15 p.m. in the Municipal Building to go over various applications and public hearings in the village.  There will be a discussion of an application for a homeowner to add two stories and alterations to a single story building on Warburton Ave.

There will be also be three public hearings to review an application to construct a single-family home to replace an existing one on Broadway, an application for the additions and alterations to an existing two-family home on William St. and the application for the subdivision of a piece of land on Washington Ave. into two building lots. The full agenda can be found on the village website.
