Thunderstorms Are Heading To White Plains

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The forecast for Westchester from the National Weather Service predicts a wild Friday with thunderstorms followed by a comfortable Columbus Day weekend ahead.

Friday will be warm with the daytime high reaching 70, but as the day goes on, the chances for storms will increase to roughly 60 percent. Rain totals could fall between a tenth and quarter of an inch. The heaviest rain is expected after 4 p.m. Friday.

As for the weekend, once the rain and clouds clear out late Friday, Saturday and Sunday look sunnier and cooler.

Daytime highs will reach 60 on Saturday under sunny skies and 66 on Sunday, under mostly sunny skies. Nighttime lows will hit 40 on Saturday and 45 on Sunday.
