Robbers invaded a Bramblebrook Road home, struck a father and teenage son and frightened two younger children when they forced them to an upstairs bedroom before stealing $45,000. Ardsley Police said the crime appeared to be well-planned by the thieves, who knew there was cash and a safe in the home.
The father and his 15-year-old son were taken into the master bedroom and forced to open a safe. The father and son had their hands bound behind their backs and their mouths duct-taped before the suspects left the house.
The victim’s 8-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter were herded upstairs into bedrooms and told to hide under the covers. After the suspects left the home, the 15-year-old son managed to break free and call 911. The father also broke free and searched the house.
On July 10, Pamela Zimba, 24, Exander Rosado, 18, Anibal Rosado, 20, all of Yonkers, and Kadeedra Moore, 24, and Richard Davis, 31, both of New Rochelle, were arrested and charged with first-degree burglary.
Zimba, who used to work for the homeowner, monitored the men inside. Moore waited outside in the getaway vehicle.
The accused pleaded guilty Dec. 6. Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore said, "Diligent detective work by the Ardsley Police Department along with high-tech forensic assistance from my office resulted in the arrest and prosecution of these five defendants for committing a violent home invasion."
The five face prison terms of seven to 25 years at sentencing.
Each of the convicted people will be sentenced on Jan. 29, Feb. 5, Feb. 26 or March 5?? and may received from seven to 25 years in prison.
