Striping operations on the southbound Thruway near Exit 11 (Nyack - South Nyack - Route 9W) will require an overnight triple lane closure.

Closures are as follows Friday and early Saturday:

8 p.m. – One left lane

9 p.m. – Two left lanes

Midnight – Three left lanes

Closures end 5 a.m. Saturday.

Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC) has successfully removed the former toll plaza structures on the New York State Thruway (I-87/I-287) in Tarrytown. The operation followed the transition to cashless tolling on the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Southbound/eastbound Thruway traffic in the area has transitioned to four newly unobstructed lanes. Motorists taking the southbound exit 9 off-ramp are advised to stay in the right lane, as there will be little time to merge from the left at highway speeds. The new lane configuration will be in place until late 2016.
