Police said a water line feeding a sprinkler broke, causing the front lawn of the house to flood at about 10 p.m. Friday.
Police responded after receiving a call from the homeowners saying the front of the house was partially caving-in, officials said.
According to the homeowners, a part of the above-ground basement wall had given way, officials said. Crews worked throughout the night on the water main break, and the homeowners are staying in a hotel, officials said.
