Sony recently changed its mind about the release of the film, which came about during a conference call with Sony executives, according to a report by Deadline.com.

The first Yonkers showing, at midnight on Christmas night, is already sold out, according to The Alamo's website.

Sony also released the movie in paid, online rentals on Wednesday.

Sony had announced a week ago that it has canceled the planned Dec. 25 release of the movie following a hacking attack and in the wake of threats against theaters that planned to show the movie.

That decision came after several major cinemas dropped the film, a comedy which focuses on a pair of TV journalists, played by actors James Franco and Seth Rogen, who are recruited by the CIA in a plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The U.S. government has blamed the North Korean government for the hacking attack.

The change of thought about the release of the film came about during a conference call with Sony executives, the report said.

The Alamo Drafthouse is located at 2548 Central Park Ave., Yonkers.
