The passes retail for $25 and can be purchased in the city clerk’s office on the first floor of City Hall, 255 Main St. There is no additional cost for getting an E-ZPass tag at an On-the-Go location. The full $25 payment is moved to your E-ZPass account once the tag is registered.

The E-ZPass electronic bill payment system is currently used by thousands of New Yorkers on highways and bridges around the state. Its convenience, ease of use and efficiency have made it a necessity for busy schedules. Using an E-ZPass reduces drivers’ waiting time at toll plazas and benefits the environment by reducing idling and improving air quality.

The clerk’s office will accept payment in cash or via debit and credit cards. Personal checks, however, are not an accepted form of payment. The clerk’s office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

“With our large residential population and the influx of workers, shoppers and students who come to White Plains every day, it just made sense that City Hall should be an E-ZPass On-the- Go location,” said Mayor Thomas Roach. “City Hall is located in the heart of the downtown, making it the perfect place to offer this valuable service.”
