YONKERS, N.Y. -- The city of Yonkers is tearing up its controversial downtown development plan, clearing the way for two new rental towers on the waterfront, according to LoHud.com.

The $100 million project will have about 325 units and be known as Palisades Point, according to the article.

New developers will be found for the proposed retail and office buildings.
